Tensions remain high over the Strait of Hormuz as the US and Iran consider a two-week ceasefire extension to allow more time to negotiate a peace deal. The US hasn’t “formally requested an extension of the ceasefire,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters Wednesday.
