Oil Hoarding Becoming a More Dominant Theme, Currie Says

Jeff Currie, chief strategy officer of energy pathways at Carlyle, discusses oil markets in light of recent events in Iran and Venezuela. Speaking on Bloomberg Television, he says the world is now riskier. “The market going in is record short, demand is not slowing down — it’s picking up,” Currie tells Francine Lacqua. “Geopolitical risk is at, I would say, an all-time high,” he adds. “That’s a recipe for a spike in prices right now.”
