Hassett May Be ‘Done’ As Fed Pick: Whalen

Chris Whalen, Chairman of Whalen Global Advisors, joins Bloomberg Businessweek Daily to discuss the Trump administration’s ongoing political and legal attacks on the Federal Reserve and Chairman Jerome Powell, and Fed succession. Whalen says President Trump’s attacks on the FOMC and Powell have been “mismanaged” and sees Powell staying on as a governor until 2028. Whalen also says he thinks National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett may be “done” as a candidate for Federal Reserve Chairman. Whalen speaks with Tim Stenovec and Christina Ruffini.
