France Adopts Budget as PM Survives No-Confidence Votes

France’s parliament adopted a budget for 2026 after Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu survived two no-confidence votes Monday. The new budget has smaller spending cuts and tax increases than earlier proposals, meaning the deficit for the year, expected at 5%, will be larger than initially planned.
