CIA Authorized to Take Covert Action in Venezuela, Times Says

The Trump administration has authorized the Central Intelligence Agency to take covert action in Venezuela as part of its effort to ratchet up pressure on President Nicolas Maduro, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
