Under pressure from Arab leaders and the US, Hamas on Oct. 3 accepted one part of President Donald Trump’s proposed plan for settling the group’s two-year war with Israel. Hamas said it would release the hostages it still holds but withheld a decision on other aspects of the proposed 20-point settlement, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted.
