Rubio Says It’s Important That Cubans Have ‘More Freedom’

Secretary of State Marco Rubio declined to say whether the US is prepared to push for regime change in Cuba. “I’m not going to tell you or announce this in an interview here, because obviously these things require space and time to do it in the right way,” Rubio said during an interview with Bloomberg News Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. “But I will say this, that it is important for the people of Cuba to have more freedom, not just political freedom, but economic freedom.” (Source: Bloomberg)
