President Donald Trump is likely to announce who will be the next chair of the Federal Reserve sometime in early January, with National Economic Director Kevin Hassett and former Fed Governor Kevin Warsh seen as frontrunners. Deutsche Bank Chief US Economist Matthew Luzzetti believes that whoever is the pick will have to “earn the market’s trust” and bring inflation back down to target.
