Republican Senator Ted Budd said capping credit card interest rates as proposed by the president would mean that some consumers won’t be able to get access to credit that they may need. The North Carolina lawmaker also said that the Senate does not need vote to keep ‘propping up’ expanded Obamacare subsidies, advocating for a different system that would send money to the public.
