Bulgaria’s Radev Extends Lead Ahead of Snap Election

An opinion poll shows former Bulgarian President Rumen Radev extended his lead before Sunday’s snap parliamentary election. His party, Progressive Bulgaria, has the backing of 30.8% of decided voters, according to survey by the Market Links pollster and the private bTV channel. Radev resigned from the presidency in January in order to enter the election. He has often criticized the European Union and urged the bloc to restore its ties to Russia.
