Blair Distances Himself From $1 Bln Board of Peace Fee

Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair distanced himself from US President Donald Trump’s demand that countries pay $1 billion for permanent membership to the Board of Peace. Blair, who’s been appointed to the executive panel of the Board of Peace, declined to endorse the request for the funds. Some countries would likely refuse to join the Board as a result of Trump’s terms, people familiar with the matter said. Bloomberg’s Dan Williams reports.
