Japan’s PM Ishiba Set to Stand Down, Paving Way For New Leader

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba plans to resign to avoid splitting the ruling party, after weeks of calls for his departure following a second national election setback, NHK reported Sunday.
