Japan Protests China’s Maritime Claims After Bomber Flights

Japan has protested activity by Chinese coast guard vessels asserting Beijing’s claims to maritime borders close to a southern Japanese island, Tokyo’s top government spokesman said, days after Tokyo scrambled fighter jets in response to flights by Chinese and Russian bombers around Japan’s south.
