The four astronauts that make up the crew of the Artemis II mission are set to reenter earth’s atmosphere and splash down in the pacific ocean after a historic 10 day mission that made sent the crew further into space than ever before. As the crew reenters the atmosphere their capsule will travel at roughly 25,000 miles and experience dangerous temperatures, relying on a heat shield for protection.
