The Himalayan nation of Nepal is experiencing its biggest political crisis since a decade-long civil war ended in 2006. Protesters set government buildings on fire, demanding an end to endemic corruption and greater employment opportunities for the country’s sizable young population. Law enforcement responded with tear gas and water cannon. At least 19 people were killed and hundreds injured.
