Trump Says Warsh to Cut Rates Without White House Pressure

President Donald Trump says Federal Reserve Chair nominee Kevin Warsh did not commit to him to lower interest rates, but Trump believes he will cut interest rates without being pressured to do so. Trump also addressed the block on Fed nominees by Republican Senator Thom Tillis, saying, “if he doesn’t approve, we’ll just have to wait till someone comes in that will approve it, right?” Trump spoke to reporters Friday in the Oval Office.
