Bearish Pound Bets Increase as PM Starmer Teeters

The pound fell to the lowest in two weeks versus the euro and the dollar on Feb. 5 on concerns around Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s grasp on power and as the Bank of England came within one vote of cutting interest rates. Paul Jackson, strategist at Invesco Asset Management, says overall he’s positive on UK assets and that “throughout the year sterling can appreciate a bit against the dollar.” He speaks on Bloomberg Television.
