Alan Greenspan has died at the age of 100. He served as Fed chief for 18 years, from 1987 to 2006, and was credited with guiding a record US economic expansion, but his legacy was later dimmed by the financial crisis that erupted in 2008. Greenspan died on June 22 at his home due to complications of Parkinson’s disease. Bloomberg’s David Westin looks back at his accomplishments.
(Corrects error at 2’01”: Greenspan left the Fed over 20 years ago. A corrected version is being prepared and will be published as soon as possible.) (Source: Bloomberg)
