Europe Defense Sector Has ‘Long Way to Go’, German Minister Says

Germany’s decision to scrap a €10 billion ($11.4 billion) warship purchase and the demise of a joint fighter-jet project with France show that Europe’s defense industry needs to catch up with the continent’s ambitions for a military buildup, a senior German defense official said.
