Ret. Lt. Gen.: Trump’s Iran Strikes a ‘Smart Reaction’

Retired US Air Force Lieutenant General David Deptula says President Trump’s renewed strikes against Iran are “not necessarily escalatory,” but rather a “smart reaction” meant to make clear to Tehran that violations of any agreement will “make its situation worse”. He also reacts to President Trump’s move to return home from Turkey on an older Air Force One, saying the decision likely reflected security, survivability, communications and operational caution.
