Germany’s Merz: ‘We Are Not at the Mercy of This New World Order’

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the foundations of the international order “have been shaken” and that nations shouldn’t “accept this new reality as fate.” He made the comments during a speech at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. “We do not have to accept this new reality as fate,” Merz added. “We are not at the mercy of this new world order.
