A French court is set to decide today on whether Marine Le Pen will be able to run in next year’s presidential election. The 57-year-old was sentenced in March to a five-year election ban and a two-year jail term that’s on hold while she appeals. She was accused of misusing about €474,000 ($540,000) between 2009 and 2016, when she was a member of the European Parliament. Douglas Yates from the American Graduate School in Paris speaks to Bloomberg’s Caroline Connan about the upcoming verdict. (Source: Bloomberg)
