Sen. Scott Backs FISA Extension, Pushes Surveillance Reforms

Senator Rick Scott of Florida says he will vote for a short-term FISA extension, but argues Congress should stop “kicking the can down the road” and enact reforms to the surveillance law. He downplays criticism of Bill Pulte’s appointment as acting DNI, despite Pulte’s lack of intelligence experience. Sen. Scott also says President Trump may have to use the military against Iran if Tehran refuses to negotiate, saying the president must ensure Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon. He speaks with Kailey Leinz and Joe Mathieu on the late edition of Bloomberg’s “Balance of Power.” (Source: Bloomberg)
